After many months of not knowing what to do with this fascinating root mass, I finally decided to cut it flat and put a clay house on top of it. But, standing at the bandsaw I realized that there was probably just enough stuff there for me to carve the mass itself into a house. The result is one of my favorite pieces I’ve made.
